Did you know?

The Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association Inc. maintains the 500 kilometre long Ganaraska Hiking Trail. The trail is a recreational trail extending from Port Hope on Lake Ontario to the Bruce Trail near Collingwood, with a complete loop in Simcoe County, all the way to Midland. Each of our nine local clubs offer hikes in their local area and maintains the trail system for all to enjoy. You donation helps with trail maintenance, signage, web hosting and other important items that keep the trails available for all to enjoy.

In 2025, the Ganaraska Hiking Trail suffered an enormous amount of damage due to the Ice Storm of March 29/30, which caused the organization considerable unforeseen and therefore unbudgeted expenses, such as purchasing safety equipment, trail maintenance tools and supplies, and paying mileage reimbursement for volunteers to reach the trail to undertake trail maintenance. The good news is that the Ganaraska Hiking Trail has pretty well been restored and re-opened for all to enjoy. Your financial support for the Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association Inc. is very much appreciated.
