Hike Calendar
This calendar shows events for those clubs that are using Google Maps. Click on the individual events for details. Click on maps for meeting point on Google Maps. Hike number limit and pre-registration requirement are at the discretion of the individual hike leaders, and noted in the individual hike descriptions.
All Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association Inc. members are welcome to take part in any of the hikes, regardless of which club they belong to. The club which is organizing the hike is listed under the date of that hike. Call the leader if the weather is at all questionable, in case the outing has been cancelled. Wear suitable footwear and clothing, and bring snacks/drink/lunch. In most cases, the hiking level is indicated as Easy, Moderate, Difficult and, on occasion, Challenging.
Participants in events must choose activities suitable to their physical capabilities and skill levels. They must inform the hike leader before the start of an event about any health problems or allergies and the location of any special medications. They must follow the leader’s directions. Parents and guardians must supervise children in their care. Dogs are not permitted on group hikes. Along one or two sections along the trail, dogs are actually prohibited, typically due to the presence of livestock. Please respect the wishes of the landowner, as indicated on the signs.
Ganaraska Hiking Trail members sign a sign the Waiver and Risk Assumption form when they take out or renew their membership. Event organizers and hike leaders are encouraged to have any non-member participants sign the Waiver sheet at the beginning of the hike or outing. Unpaid volunteers conduct events. Anyone participating in these events, or making use of the trail in any way, does so at their own risk.
